Synopsis:
Dear Brutus was a play written by J.M. Barrie (Peter Pan). Although this screenplay is inspired by that play it is not a true adaptation. The screenplay takes place in present day and follows a group of Actors and a Playwright who have traveled to the home of a woman named Kingsley Goodfellow. Kingsley owns and operates a theater that has a magical element that on the eve of opening night they are able to enter the theater and see what their lives would’ve been like if they’d made different choices. Although the characters do not initially believe this mythology they are drawn to the prospect. Upon entering the tent they encounter missed opportunities, love and the wonder of possibility. These encounters leave each character looking ahead to decisions that may be life-changing.
